Independence CC

 

Payton enters his first season at Independence Community College. In his career he has over 7 years of coaching experience at the high school level. During that time he has coached DB’s and Special Teams each of those years. During his tenure, Payton successfully coached 8 athletes who are playing or have played at the next level at places such as Southern Mississippi, Louisiana Tech, Nicholls State, McNeese State, University of Toledo, and Jackson State.

 

During Green's collegiate career he walked on at Itawamba Community College where he received his associates degree, followed by a stint at Southern Mississippi to pursue a degree in History. Ultimately, Green received his  bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from William Carey University and is now pursuing a masters degree in Physical Education and Health.
